No, it’s not my kind of scene, but yes I was there. April, Amanda, and I went to CrueFest last night at Blossom. I doubt it is something that I would have paid for tickets to, but we got free tickets from one of the beer vendors, so we went. It actually wasn’t that bad. I was imagining completely not fitting in, and being surrounded by a bunch of weirdos, but it really wasn’t bad. Don’t get me wrong, there were weirdos, but that just made it more interesting. We had lawn tickets, so we took a blanket to sit on, but before we even left the parking lot, we were told we couldn’t bring it in. When we got to the gate, we saw they were right, because there was a big pile of blankets. Once at the gate, I realized I still had my box cutter on me, so I talked the guy into letting me take the blade out and keeping the knife. We found a nice place to sit, and we saw a bunch of people sitting on towels. Apparently you can take in towels, but not blankets. I don’t really see the difference, but if you know why, leave me a comment and let me know. We missed the first two bands, which was fine because we didn’t know any of their music anyhow. We got to see papa roach, who was ok. We also saw Buck Cherry, which was better, especially hearing “crazy bitch” live. While we were there we got a barcardi silver, a bud light, an order of nachos and a water and spent $26 for just that. I told April Carissa couldn’t go to college now. The highlight of my night was watching these girls with four inch heals try to walk through the grass. That was absolutely hilarious. At one point Amanda went to the bathroom and this girl started hugging her and dragged her to the front of the line, all the while she was getting cussed at and what not. Motley Crue wasn’t bad, not quite my thing, but not bad. I don’t know if there is any music that can sound bad when it is live. The lighting and pyrotechnics were quite amazing. That was worth going by itself. We left early and got home about midnight. All in all it was an interesting evening.
