Update to Sickfest 2008

April broke down and went to the doctor today. They told her she has the worst flu strain that is out this year. Apparently it’s a new strain and wasn’t included in the flu shots or anything like that. They also told her there wasn’t really any medicine she could take and that she shouldn’t work the rest of the week. So I guess she just has to wait it out, all the while we are both hoping that the kids and I don’t get it too. It’s probably hopeful thinking considering we all live in the same house and what not. I went and got Carleigh some infant vitamins and we have been pushing vitamins into Carissa as well. As for myself, I’ve been turned onto a product called Emergen-C. It’s a powder and you put it with water and drink away. It’s supposed to be an energy boost and provides a huge amount of vitamin C. Here’s hoping we can all stay well. I don’t mind so much if I get it, but I can’t fathom to think how this house would turn into hell if Carleigh gets it (think no sleep and crying 24 hours a day). Perhaps we should move into the guest house for a while… oh wait, we don’t have a guest house.
